I’m a music junkie. I listen to music every time I can. When I read Mac Daily News’ post about this new app called Concert Vault (iTunes store link). Concert Vault has the worlds largest collection of Vintage Recordings and a pretty good selection of Live recordings that can be either streamed or downloaded. Quickly browsing I’ve found Hendrix, Sting, The Who, Springsteen, Genesis, Clapton, Rolling Stones and Pink Floyd just to mention a few. Right now I’m listening to a Sting concert at the River Plate Stadium in Argentina, back in 1988, with a guest appearance by Bruce Springsteen on track 9.
You can download some of the concerts, those have either a Free or Price tag, around US$10 per gig. Which I consider a very nice price tag for a concert recorded over 20 years ago and a high sound quality. Next year they are planning to release a video section of the concerts, so that’s something to look for on 2009. There’s also a favorites section, which the iPhone app can refer to but can’t add more concerts or sogs, but that can be achieved on the web version of the site.
For more info go to the official Wolfgang’s Vault Concert Vault website or directly to the iTunes App Store here.
not to be a whiney little bitch, but I think spellcheck is in order. Misspelling “song” I don’t mind, but please don’t kill Hendrix!!
Hey Seth! Didn’t notice until now. Just got back home from a long day… My bad, problem fixed… Now, did you download the app?
Got it!
I now officially love you for hooking me up with concert vault!! I am loving getting my Hendrix fix here 🙂 remind me to show you my hendrix at Woodstock (the full set).
